Milana

Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American comedian, actor, and activist. Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her career as an actor as a young person shortly after moving to the United States. Her fame was boosted by her roles in AT&T commercials on TV as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016, and then from the year 2020. She also was a regular series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and was a regular in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl for Marvel Rising in 2018 following her appearance in the pilot television series called New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish, born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents, who were both two years old, immigrated to America as refugees from antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. Due to financial difficulties in the family, she began acting in Mattel Barbie commercials when she was just five years old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. However, she quit the school in her sophomore year. She obtained a GED and obtained an undergraduate degree in Arts (Communication) from the University of California San Diego. She was a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and was a student of improv comedy.
